By July 1960 I had traded Warren Radio my SX-99 (and $40) for this beautiful 1945 model National HRO-5 receiver, and built my third and most complex transmitter. It has a pair of 807 tubes, driven (I think) by a 6AG7; it's between the HRO-5 and the Heathkit VF-1 VFO. I think it ran about 100 watts, CW only.
