Low's Upper Dam On August 1 it took a little over an hour's drive to park near Horseshoe Lake (41.3 miles). After riding back to our famous photo spot at the turn to the Lower Dam, I got back to the truck at 10:30 and headed for the Upper Dam, reached at 10:55.
