After two hours, ascending 500 meters, I arrived at Findeln at 10:00 AM and took a brief break here. My pace on the steep trail was: Left one thousand, right one thousand, left..., with the forward boot's heel only perhaps 8" ahead of the trailing boot's toe. Just repeat often enough, and you'll get there!
