Day 5 (July 8, 2010): Purden Lake PP BC to Macleod Meadows Campground BC (409 miles). Purden Lake was a pleasant and popular family-oriented campground (with, fortunately, 10 PM quiet hours). Rather than head south at Tete Jaune Cache, I continued on the Yellowhead east to Jasper, for my second run at the Icefields Parkway. It was a thrill to see the Rockies looming closer, after that farmland.
